Risk Management for Autonomous AI Trading on Monad
Position limits, kill switches, key security, and smart-contract risk controls for anyone running autonomous trading agents on Monad.
Assume something will break
Data feeds fail, models drift, contracts get exploited, and keys leak. Good risk management assumes each will happen and limits the damage.
Capital controls
Fund the agent wallet with a fixed budget. Cap position size per asset and total exposure. Set daily loss limits that pause the agent automatically.
Key and wallet security
Keep agent keys in a secure signer or hardware-backed service, never in plain files in a code repository. Smart-account wallets with spending policies and session keys add a second line of defense.
Contract risk
Whitelist audited, verified contracts. Use exact approvals and revoke them regularly. Watch for protocol upgrades that change behavior.
Model risk
Monitor input distributions; if markets look unlike training data, reduce size or stop. Require human review for strategy changes.
Kill switch
Have one action that halts trading and moves funds to a cold wallet. Test it regularly. Autonomous trading carries real risk of loss; nothing here is financial advice. Explore Monad AI tools at monaf.ai.
